Episode 251 – Getting back into the away day swing

A fresh looking Lamptey line up this week with Joey being joined by Imogen and Neil “the new Neil” Beasley. The kids have been out there watching Cov and have some thoughts on a couple of defeats for you.

You may also know Neil from his smashing authoring of the book: “Football’s Coming Out: Life as a Gay Fan”. He’s kind enough to give us a little insight into the experiences that led to him writing the book, and life since. Make sure you grab yourself a copy.

  1. Thanks guys.
On Jamie Allen. I thought him outstanding at end of the L1 season with goals, assists & continually being troublesome to the opposition defence. Last season I was saddened that he looked totally off the pace for Champo football – while it’s early days into new term I am delighted he’s stepped it up.
The penalty at Oakwell. Waghorn is 24 from 29 on penalties – he should have taken it. But as Waghorn had been totally missing from the team throughout the match I can see why Vicktor took the responsibility…
Good to see everybody else gelling together & forming a competitive unit. Need to bring Waghorn into the Sky Blue fold or get Matty & Tyler fit in short order…
Enobakhere – guess he isn’t costing us much… could remain around as an impact substitute… could leave in January… or by the end of August!
    Robbie
