Episode 44 – The Nii Lamptey Show

This week: The Niis are re-adjusting to life as supporters of a team that can lose. Turns out it’s not that difficult. The team is still good, and the guys make sure to acknowledge that point following the weekend’s defeat to Pork Vale.

Thanks for another great show. My highlight of the week.

My reaction to losing at Vale was the massive comedown of having to accept afresh that we won’t win all of our games. We City fans had been spoiled before last weekend with a 6-match unbeaten run and all those goals! Turns out after all that we won’t walk every game or outplay every side. Okay so we knew that deep down and all along but the Vale defeat broke the magic spell and remined me that miracles and charmed lives don’t exist.

Cheers pal, glad you’re enjoying it.

Believe me, I know exactly what you mean re: Port Vale. I’m accepting, having watched the match and understood that we are in fact a very good team. But Leyton Orient have won 8 in a row. It certainly would be nice if we could manage half of that at some point.
